Born in Glasgow, Gary Maclean is a multi-award-winning chef hailed as a major talent, a gentleman of the kitchen and a world class educator. Following a variety of Head Chef positions, Gary went on to be crowned MasterChef: The Professionals Champion in 2016.

In 2017 the Scottish Government announced that Gary was to become Scotland’s first National Chef, a role he still holds today in promoting Scottish produce on the world stage and encouraging the domestic consumption of healthy, locally produced food.

A marriage of the humble and the refined. Gary’s menu offers guests pristine seafood married with clean, precise cooking – a first class, fun dining experience, with an array of beautiful dishes for food lovers.

All dishes are made fresh to order, and we work with fishmongers across Scotland, from Mull to Peterhead, Eyemouth to Lerwick, we are 100% committed to sustainable sourcing, buying only from ethical suppliers working in conjunction to the Marine Conservation Society’s Good Fish Guide.

Pit & Pickle, the ultimate destination for mouth-watering, innovative flavours for meat lovers, veggies and vegans! Our brand new concept celebrates the perfect harmony of rich, smoky pit-cooked delicacies and zesty, tangy pickles that will leave you craving more.

At Pit & Pickle, we take pride in our diverse menu, carefully crafted to cater to a variety of palates. For our vegan friends, “The Vegan One” is a plant-based burger served on a toasted brioche bun, accompanied by crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, red onions, and Texan BBQ aioli, creating a symphony of flavours.

For the meat lovers our  “Little Piggy,” is packed full of slow roasted BBQ pulled pork, nestled in a toasted brioche bun, complemented by crispy onion rounds and a sharp apple & celeriac remoulade, all smothered in our signature Texan BBQ sauce.

Our signature “Pit & Pickle Burger” is our own secret recipe, our beef patty is hand pressed and grilled to perfection. It’s then topped with fresh tomatoes, red onions, crisp lettuce, battered pickles, Monterey Jack cheese, our secret burger sauce and pickles!

“The Veggie Cheese Dog,” is a plant-based masterpiece, a savoury plant dog served on a soft brioche bun, garnished with veggie cheese, mustard, ketchup, and crispy onions. For those who crave a hot and savoury treat, “The Hot Roast Hot Dog” is the answer. A perfectly roasted sausage seasoned with sage & onion, accompanied by BBQ smoked apple relish, all nestled in a baguette and topped with crispy onions.

Our chefs prepare each pizza by hand, stretching the dough, topping with the very best ingredients and then firing to perfection to get that stone baked flavour that everyone loves.

From traditional margherita, with fresh tomato sauce, torn mozzarella and fresh basil to the absolute crowd pleaser that is the Meat Feast, there is something for everyone.

For the bambinos we’ve kept it simple, and focused on their favourites with a side of chips all for £5.50 or less.
